21st April, 2026 Senior Accountant Established Accountancy Practice Salary: 55,000 - 70,000 Location: Gravesend, Kent (Hybrid) Westonbrook Associates is working with a wellregarded, growing Kentbased chartered accountancy practice to recruit a Senior Accountant into a key clientfacing role. The firm supports a broad and highquality client base, from ownermanaged businesses to large groups with turnovers exceeding 30m. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced practice accountant looking for senior responsibility, portfolio ownership and clear progression within a stable and forwardthinking firm. The Role As Senior Accountant, you will take primary responsibility for a portfolio of larger, more complex clients alongside a smaller number of SMEs. The role is handson and accountsfocused, covering compliance, reporting and team supervision. You will work closely with Partners and client internal finance teams, overseeing junior team members and ensuring all deadlines and statutory requirements are met to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of groups and standalone limited companies. Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts, including group consolidations. Reviewing bookkeeping, reconciliations and VAT returns. Overseeing statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax and compliance deadlines. Acting as the main point of contact for clients and external advisers. Liaising with auditors and supporting audit processes where required. Reviewing and supporting the development of junior and bookkeeping staff. Assisting Partners with adhoc accounting and compliancerelated projects. About You ACA or ACCA qualified with at least five years experience within a UK accountancy practice. Strong background in accounts preparation and management accounts. Experience working with groups or larger SME clients. Wellorganised, technically strong and confident dealing with clients. What''s on Offer Salary 55,000 - 70,000, depending on experience.
