Lead Electrical Engineer Vancouver, BC Sedgman is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, B.C. The role involves technical leadership in the design, implementation, and maintenance of HV, MV, and LV power systems, power studies, and automation for surface or underground operations. The incumbent will ensure safety compliance, mentor a young team, and manage deliverables across all project phases. Key Responsibilities Lead execution of electrical engineering and design for mineral processing projects and associated infrastructure (including industrial processing, precious metals and/or iron ore plants). Develop proposals and conceptual designs for prefeasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering projects. Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams. Work continuously across small to large, domestic and international projects through the lifecycle: concept, feasibility, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operations. Liaise with internal and external clients, other disciplines, and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and costeffective delivery. Demonstrate high standards of personal safety and safety in design practices. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Sound knowledge of the mining industry and Canadian regulatory codes and standards. Professional Engineer and Member of EGBC. 15+ years of relevant experience in HV, MV, and LV power transmission and distribution systems (knowledge of IEEE and IEC standards is an asset). Extensive engineering experience in design/consultancy/operational environments; previous experience in industrial processing and/or mining and metals is an asset. Welldeveloped communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency with instrumentation and control systems in industrial applications. Ability to selfmanage time, priorities, and activities effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and technical/nontechnical staff.
