This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!We are looking for a Staff Electrical Engineer to help design the next generation of high-quality medical devices. In this role, you will gain handson experience in the development and commercialization of complex and leadingedge medical devices. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, improving, and supporting the next generation of the Globe Pulsed Field System.Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.Meaningful work you will be a part ofYour responsibilities will include:Analog and digital circuit design, including documentation, schematic capture, and PCB layoutDesigning, developing, and testing analog circuits and systems, ensuring high performance and reliability in a variety of applications.Complex system level debugging (e.g. multiboard systems with multiple processors, firmware, RF, communication links, etc.)Testing prototypes of custom electronicsSupporting design transfer to manufacturing and serviceInvestigating and determining the root cause of technical failuresMentoring junior team members and coop studentsWhat you bring to the teamOur Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about developing cuttingedge medical devices to help improve peoples lives. We understand that only by working together can we solve what was thought unsolvable.You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:Bachelors degree or higher in electrical or electronics engineeringElectronics engineering skills and knowledge normally acquired through at least 10 years of experienceExperience with electronics CAD tools, preferably Altium DesignerA history of mentoring less experienced engineersBoard level analog and digital circuit design experienceExcellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skillsExperience with safety and EMC standardsExperience interfacing with FPGA designs and designersExperience with the IEC 60601 standardAn exceptional level of technical expertiseA history of successful technical leadership on highly complex projectsProficiency with test and measurement equipmentA strong drive to succeed with a track record of being highly productiveExcellent problemsolving skills and attention to detailAble to deal with changing priorities and requirementsAble to execute tasks with minimal instruction and guidanceAble to rapidly understand new concepts and acquire new skillsCompensationKardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.
