Shape the future of Ontarios energy systems with WSPs Distribution team in Toronto. As part of the Power Delivery subsector, our Distribution group leads the design of low to medium voltage overhead and underground lines and the facilities that support them. This role gives you handson exposure to real power delivery challenges and the chance to contribute to projects that keep communities connected and energized. Youll take on meaningful work across Canada, applying your technical skills to power distribution projects that directly influence how energy is delivered and maintained. Youll collaborate with a supportive team of engineers, designers, and stakeholders, gaining the coaching, mentorship, and training needed to grow your expertise and advance your career. Shape Your Impact Develop designs for a wide range of utility projects from small customer requests to large scale system reconfigurations. Coordinate closely with clients and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery. Apply engineering calculations to prepare design packages for overhead and underground power distribution systems. Perform quality reviews of design deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Support tasks such as equipment sizing, material specification, and preparation of construction documentation. Design and analyze overhead and underground distribution systems using distribution design software. Apply relevant codes and standards, including CSA, to overhead and underground distribution designs. Conduct site visits as required and provide support during the construction phase of projects. Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, quality, and consistency across projects. Contribute to internal knowledgesharing activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Deliver highquality work on time and within budget. Manage and develop project estimates, schedules, bids, and engineering support. Network with clients and maintain client relationships Perform additional responsibilities as required to support business needs The Skills That Set You Apart Degree in Engineering and P.ENG in Ontario or near final stages of license. Between 5 to 10 years experience with distribution line design (4kV35kV), overhead/underground systems, and utility standards. Exposure to non-linear powerline design software such as PLSCADD, SPIDAcalc, etc Proficiency with distribution modelling, structure analysis tools, and CAD/drafting interfaces - Familiarity with CSA standards, utility construction practices, grounding, clearances, and load calculations. Strong problemsolving mindset with the ability to balance safety, cost, and performance. Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, environmental, and planning disciplines. Why Choose WSP?
