Were currently seeking an Associate with 38 years of civil litigation experience for a new opportunity within our Class Actions department in Vancouver. The class action associate will play a key role in advancing national and regional class proceedings across a range of subject areas, including consumer protection, privacy, product liability, price-fixing, securities, and institutional abuse. You will work closely with senior counsel on all stages of litigation, from investigation and certification to trial and settlement. You will have familiarity with litigating in British Columbia to help inform decision making on files. Key responsibilities include: Case analysis and investigation: Conduct legal research, evaluate potential class actions, and assist in drafting pleadings. Application work: Prepare application materials, written submissions, and evidentiary records. Experts: Identify potential experts and instruct experts. Discovery and evidence management: Oversee document review and examinations. Court appearances: Attend and make submissions in case conferences, applications, and hearings as required. Collaboration with senior counsel: Work closely with partners and co-counsel at other class action firms on strategy and case development. Overseeing claims administration: Retain a claims administrator and oversee the claims administration process. Qualifications: In good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia Experience with the British Columbia Supreme Court Civil Rules 3-8 years of relevant civil litigation experience in British Columbia Work well independently and within a collaborative team of professionals Detail-oriented and highly organized Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Creative problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial outlook Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced environment Enthusiastic team player who thrives in a collaborative setting To apply select the Apply Now button.
