About the Role Were seeking an experienced Project Manager/Municipal Engineer to join the Land Development and Municipal Engineering group in Whitehorse, Yukon. Youll lead municipal water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway infrastructure projects for public and private clients, including planning, design, and construction services. This is a Whitehorse-based position; relocation assistance is offered for selected candidates. Key Responsibilities Deliver innovative municipal infrastructure solutions from concept through construction, ensuring projects meet client expectations and community needs. Lead multidisciplinary teams to design and implement water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway systems that enhance quality of life. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to navigate complex requirements and achieve successful outcomes. Champion business development initiatives and contribute to proposals that expand WSPs presence in the North. Oversee construction services, including site reviews, reporting, and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently. Travel up to 30 days annually to Yukons unique communities, supported by the maximum liveout allowance available. Qualifications A degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer designation (or eligibility) with Engineers Yukon. 5+ years of experience in municipal project planning and design, with proven success in project delivery and client relationship management. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff while fostering collaboration and innovation. Expertise in technical writing for proposals, reports, and design documentation. Familiarity with Yukon clients, including First Nation governments, Yukon Government, and municipalities. Experience with project management principles and tools; an asset.
