Description:Our Calgary based management team is looking for experienced Wellsite Geologists (Canada) to support its growing client base that is operating in the WCSB. This role requires expertise in onshore drilling environments.Key Responsibilities and Requirements:Exceptional sample petrography and interpretation skills with respect to wellbore placement (geosteering) in reservoir to achieve client objectivesUnderstanding of formation evaluation, drilling, and petrophysical dataExperience drilling horizontal wells in the Mannville Group heavy oil formations (Clearwater, McMurray, Sparky, Lloydminster, etc.), Deep Basin, and Southern Alberta (Brooks area) will be considered an assetCandidates highly proficient using StarSteer preferred for some projectsMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in GeologyRPS offers industry leading rates and steady rotations on long term projects with guaranteed payment within 30 days of invoice. Wellsight Systems software keys are provided for all projects.This is a contract and day rate position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
