Further details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.Your New RoleWe are currently seeking a Senior Building Operator on behalf of our client. This is a permanent, senior-level operations role supporting the day-to-day maintenance and functioning of a retail property. Reporting into senior property management leadership on-site, this position is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to develop a career in commercial property operations.In this role, youll assist with the operation and upkeep of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems. Youll respond promptly to tenant, supervisor, and property management requests, help keep vacant spaces in showable condition, and support preventative maintenance tasks once trained. The role also includes exterior maintenance such as landscaping, litter collection, and snow removal, as well as assisting with seasonal displays and holiday dcor installations.Youll operate standard property maintenance power equipment and hand tools, support painting and graffiti removal, observe and report on vendor performance, and complete building inspections using a digital inspection platform. Participation in an on-call rotation is required, and work hours may vary depending on operational needs.What You Need to SucceedYou bring a positive, reliable attitude and a willingness to learn. Mechanical aptitude is important, and any exposure to construction, maintenance, or the trades is considered an asset, though not required. Youre comfortable with physical work and working outdoors in all seasons. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, supervisors, and vendors are essential.
