This is a foundational position within a 277-unit residential building, where youll play a key role in building and maintaining the standards of the property from the ground up.Youll have the autonomy to run your space like its your own bringing your tools, your expertise, and your passion to create a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment that residents are proud to call home.If youre someone who notices the details others miss, enjoys solving problems, and wants to take true ownership of a property this is the role for you.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform day-to-day maintenance and repairs, including appliance repair, painting, plastering, and light plumbing and electrical workMaintain the cleanliness and overall condition of common areas and prepare vacant suites for new residents (turnovers, touch-ups, repairs)Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests and concernsConduct regular inspections of the property, building systems, and grounds proactively identifying and addressing issues before they escalateComplete general repairs across all areas of a multi-family residential buildingCoordinate and oversee external contractors for specialized repairs and projectsEnsure life safety systems, fire regulations, and building standards are consistently metDeliver a high level of customer service and contribute to a positive, well-maintained community environmentParticipate in evening and weekend on-call rotation, as requiredWhat You BringA strong work ethic, reliability, and a true hands-on / do-it-yourself mindsetProven experience in facility, commercial, or multi-family residential maintenanceAbility to confidently complete appliance repair, painting, plastering, and light plumbing and electrical workOwnership of your own tools and the ability to use them effectively in a professional environmentPride in your work, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standardsExcellent customer service and communication skills when working with residents and vendorsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks effectivelyComfort with basic technology (email, text, MS Office; Yardi experience is an asset)Valid drivers licenseFlexibility to respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance calls, as requiredAbility to successfully complete a credit and criminal background checkAbout UsWere a privately-owned, full-service property management company offering quality, well-maintained apartments across Ontario and Alberta.
