RWR is an insurance litigation boutique law firm in downtown Halifax. We represent national and multi-national insurance companies in all manner of insurance claims and legal actions throughout Atlantic Canada. We have big firm clients but provide a small firm culture and work experience.Job OverviewRWR is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our lawyers on complex litigation files, with a particular focus on detail and litigation support. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with large volumes of documents, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable managing lawyers schedules.Experience in insurance litigation is considered an asset; however, candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.Provide day-to-day legal and administrative support to lawyersPrepare and format correspondence, court documents, and other legal materials with a high degree of accuracyCoordinate, organize, and manage large volumes of litigation documents and emails using document management systemsAssist with document productions, including affidavits of documents, expert briefing materials, and related filingsUpload, code, and manage documents within litigation support platforms, including CasepointManage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate client meetingsMeet deadlines while managing competing priorities and reprioritizing as neededProvide overflow support to other assistants and team members as requiredPerform general office administrative tasks, including handling mail, answering phones, ordering supplies, and greeting visitorsPerform other duties as required to support the legal teamThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Post-secondary education in a Legal Assistant or Paralegal program, or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in a law firm or litigation support environmentExperience supporting litigation files and working with document management systems considered an assetExposure to Casepoint, Clio, or similar legal software is considered a strong assetStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesHigh level of attention to detail and ability to handle confidential informationSelf-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsWhat we offer:Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experiencePaid vacation, plus additional health and wellness daysOffice closure over the holiday seasonFirm paid Health, Dental, and Life Insurance plansGroup Pension Plan with employer matching contributionsAnnual Health and Wellness allowance, and cellphone reimbursementEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramNewly renovated office in downtown HalifaxHybrid work model one day from home, four days in-officeRegular firm-sponsored social eventsApply here: https://ca.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=69e69fbfe822c866&from=shareddesktop_copyOr email your resume to
