Job Description

Description of the assignment SB Canada is currently seeking Project Coordinators to join our organization. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting our project team(s) with construction activities such as planning, organizing, change management including RFIs and change orders, and keeping records of the various types of work SB Canada executes. This position will be based out of Hamilton, Ontario. The key responsibilities of this position are: Support and actively participate in SB Canadas Health & Safety Program by promoting safe work practices, adhering to all HSE requirements on site; Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager with day-to-day coordination of construction activities from planning through to project closeout; Coordinate with site crews, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to help keep work organized and moving efficiently; Assist with pre-construction activities, including site setup and coordination with estimators, engineers, and other project stakeholders; Help plan short-term work activities, including coordination of crews, equipment, materials, and site logistics; Track daily progress and report on site activities, helping identify and resolve issues early; Support scheduling by updating timelines and flagging potential delays or constraints; Assist with cost tracking, including labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities; Help coordinate procurement, deliveries, and mobilization of resources to support site operations; Maintain project records such as drawings, RFIs, submittals, reports, and other documentation; Review drawings and specifications and assist in identifying constructability issues or site challenges; Support subcontractor coordination to help ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards; Assist with inspections, QA/QC documentation, and regulatory compliance; Prepare simple daily and weekly reports; Support project closeout activities, including documentation and final project handover. Profile Diploma or Degree in a construction related field of engineering; 0-4 years of related experience would be an asset; Experience in deep foundation techniques would be an asset; Willingness to work in a site-based or remote construction environment, including rotation schedules if required; Open to travel and working on active construction sites for extended periods; Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment; Strong communication, organization, and willingness to learn. *Only candidates being considered for this position will be contacted.
