Aramark Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Manager for a long-term care facility in Calgary that will be accountable for providing leadership, vision, and direction to the program/department while adhering to the core values of this facility with regards to respect, integrity, fairness, and organizational excellence in the achievement of department goals and objectives. The Environmental Services Manager assists in providing strategic direction regarding the department''s mandate, focus, and service delivery model and leadership to the department and organization in several key areas including short and long term capital planning, enhancement and improvements to Housekeeping Services. This is achieved while ensuring a safe environment is maintained for staff, visitors and residents. Job Responsibilities Providing leadership and guidance to a team of housekeeping associates Responsible and accountable for administration of all budgetary practices Ensures all quality and risk protocols are followed Ensures the Housekeeping Department provides a safe, clean and aseptic environment in which optimal resident/patient safety and care can be best realized Plans and coordinates orientation and training programs to ensure all staff develop skills to enable them to function efficiently in this fast paced and consistently changing environment. Responsible for the management of both departments, optimizes the use of human and capital resources through development, training, monitoring and evaluating staff while working within budgetary guidelines Qualifications High School diploma Certificate in Housekeeping/Laundry Management Practices would be considered and asset Demonstrated experience working with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care regulations preferred Considerable management experience in Environmental/Housekeeping services with demonstrated progressive leadership abilities Ability to manage change through leadership and motivation Ability to establish relationships with a variety of contacts including internal and external contacts on a local, provincial, national and international level.
