Role Description Under the guidance of the Director, Corporate Services, the Human Resources Advisor is accountable for providing advice, guidance, and support with all HR functions. This role is responsible for workforce planning, labour and employee relations, performance management, grievance process, and HR training and development for Managers. The Human Resources Advisor plays a pivotal role in aligning employee experiences with The Bethany Groups values and Code of Conduct to support our culture of personcentered care. Qualifications Minimum of a related postsecondary degree in human resources, business administration or related area. Degree in HR Management preferred. Computer proficiency in MS Office applications and HRIS/HRMS systems. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Minimum of 3 years experience in a Sr. Human Resources role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Human Resources experience in healthcare/unionized environment is considered an asset. Requirements Must possess business acumen to understand how HR functions fit into the organizations strategic goals, and understand how decisions made in HR affect the business. Monitors and reports on HR metrics for business decisions. Provides support, advice and guidance to Managers on a wide range of personnel issues in a variety of areas including recruitment, performance management, and labour relations. Leads employee investigations for all matters, and participates in employee discipline and grievance meetings. Administers grievance processes to ensure that timelines are met and provides advice to managers at the various stages including investigations, responses and liaising with legal counsel. Conducts labour relations research and provides support in preparation for and during Collective Bargaining; attends with Senior Management at bargaining, investigation and/or grievance hearings and arbitrations. Participates in Labor/Management and other Committee meetings, as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
