Requisition ID: 392735 Position Number: 20096061 Posting End Date: Open until filled City: Brandon Employer: Shared Health Site: Shared Health Westman Laboratory (Brandon) Department / Unit: SHDS Ultrasound Job Stream: Clinical Union: MAHCP Anticipated Start Date: 01/05/2026 FTE: 0.30 Anticipated Shift: Days; Evenings; Weekends Work Arrangement: In Person Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Salary: $48,428 $56,145 Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Charge Medical Technologist or designate, the Echocardiography Sonographer provides delivery of ultrasound services as defined at regional and local levels. The Sonographer performs echocardiography scans requested by Physicians, and manages related patient care, exam requests, diagnostic file management, equipment and supplies management. In unusual circumstances, may assist with radiographic/ECG duties, if appropriately trained. The incumbent maintains a safe environment, complies with quality assurance programs and accreditation standards. Experience Previous related experience preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training program. Certification / Licensure / Registration Registered Ultrasound Technologist with active registration with Sonography Canada or ARDMS. Registration with CAMRT is an asset. Qualifications and Skills Windows computer environment required. Microsoft Office programs preferred. Follow oral and written instructions precisely with attention to detail. Effective oral and written communication in English. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Organizational and interpersonal skills; establish positive relationships in multidisciplinary teams and with external agencies. Proficient analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Fluency in French and English may be required. Ability to perform job duties as described.
