Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians and Building Managers across Dartmouth and Halifax. While following our Health and Safety requirements, our Maintenance Supervisors will not only have a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and flooring, they will also have the proven ability to be a motivated person with exceptional leadership and customer service skills.ResponsibilitiesSupervision of maintenance workers and laborersIn cooperation with the Regional Manager, determine priorities and work deadlinesFacilitating weekly toolbox meetingsCompleting time sheetsCompleting and assigning maintenance requestsTroubleshootingPerforming minor repairs on heating, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, walls and flooringMoving furniture, equipment, materials, and suppliesRemoving trash and items from suites/groundsOther duties relating to the upkeep of buildings and suites as assignedQualificationsProven organizational and time management skillsLeadership experience leading by exampleComputer, spreadsheet, work orders, timesheet experience, and a minimum of 5 years experience in building maintenanceStrong working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and drywall experienceIs physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbsBoiler knowledge and experience are preferredValid drivers license and Criminal Record Check (free of relevant convictions)Work as part of an on-call team, and on weekends as neededBenefitsCompetitive payExtended health care including medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance, drug coverage, and wellness programsDiscounts on rent at Northview propertiesIf your background matches the qualifications listed above and you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the communities we serve, please submit your resume in confidence.
