Building Improvements Title: Building Improvements Department: Operations Services Position: Full Time Expected Placement (subject to change) Start Date: May 1st, 2026 This is a fulltime position of 4044 hours per week for a rate of $22.00 $24.00 per hour. Spruce Meadows is a worldrenowned show jumping venue that hosts several tournaments throughout the year. Events are held on weekends, so availability for both weekends and nights is required. Shifts will fluctuate to coincide with the busy Spruce Meadows Tournament Season. Responsibilities Building inspections assess issues throughout the property Troubleshooting, electrical, plumbing & HVAC Assist contractors with electrical, plumbing & HVAC tasks Carpentry & drywall repairs Ensure the smallest details are checked in each venue to ensure customer satisfaction Minimum Requirements 2 years of experience with building maintenance, repairs, and construction Reliable transportation Class 5 drivers license (no transit available to Spruce Meadows) High school diploma Organizational proficiency Ability to move quickly and carry heavy loads Strong timemanagement skills Strong team approach and willingness to assist others when necessary Ability to work early mornings, weekends and evenings Current certificate in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (asset) Ability to speak a second language fluently (asset) Conditions of Employment Work is in a fastpaced environment.
