Qualifications Current certificate of registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Minimum of oneyear recent experience in acute care nursing. Current emergency nursing experience preferred. Completion of applicable critical care/emergency courses or working towards preferred. Completion of Coronary Care I and II or equivalent. Current ACLS Certification. Completion of Physical Assessment course. CTAS training preferred. PALS training preferred. TNCC training preferred. Excellent customer service demeanour. Must strive to continuously provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers. Must adhere to the duties of workers, as stipulated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Must have an ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in English; additional language(s) an asset. Must have basic computer skills. Must be dedicated to professional growth & development. Must be able to perform all bona fide and essential duties of the position, including physical demands such as moving/transferring patients, pushing, pulling, bending, etc. Must have demonstrated excellent attendance/performance record. Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with other members of the health care team. Duties and Responsibilities Contributes within the scope of an RN as a team member in the assessment, treatment, provision of care and health promotion for all patients through supportive, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means while adhering to the standards mandated by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Selfscheduling available for parttime nurses. Employment Details Employee Group: ONA Hours of Work: Days, nights, weekend, 12hr shifts. Available on a predetermined basis for up to 22.5 hours per week (45/pay) with availability to be scheduled up to a 0.6FTE. Wage: $41.15 to $58.98 per hour plus applicable shift premiums for evenings, nights and weekends.
