Role Mission Own Nuvates financial clarity, cost structure, and system scalability. You will not just report numbers you will find, quantify, and capture profit across the business. Key Outcomes (First 612 Months) Clean, aligned, decisionready P&L across all systems Reliable cash flow forecasting system Integrated financial ecosystem (ERP, QuickBooks, AI workflows) Automated reporting with reduced manual work Tight controls across inventory, retailer fees, and logistics Identification and execution of major cost savings opportunities Core Responsibilities Own all financial models (P&L, projections, cash flow) Ensure alignment across ERP, QuickBooks, and reporting Build automated, scalable reporting systems Cost Ownership & Margin Expansion Own and optimize major cost drivers: Run RFPs across carriers and freight forwarders Optimize lanes and lock in contract rates Packaging & Materials Benchmark suppliers and run competitive RFPs Negotiate cost reductions Retailer Fees & Deductions Own audit systems and chargeback validation Recover invalid deductions Improve pricing based on true costs Amazon Fees Audit FBA fees and reimbursements Reduce storage and aging inventory costs Inventory & Cost Accuracy Implement true landed cost per SKU Monthly reconciliation Identify shrinkage, writeoffs, and misclassification early Identify waste and cost inefficiencies Cash Flow & Financial Control Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts Identify risks and provide proactive recommendations Oversee HST, US tax, and VAT with bookkeeper Logistics Oversight (Strategic) Oversee transportation and logistics cost structure Support vendor selection and negotiation Ensure execution through systems and accountability Potential oversight of warehouse operations Build systems that reduce dependency AI & Automation (NonNegotiable) Replace manual workflows with AI systems Build automations using APIs, Zapier, and AI tools Document SOPs and scale processes Continuously improve efficiency and accuracy Who You Are You have built financial systems from scratch You actively eliminate manual work through automation Highly organized and detaildriven Strong operator with advanced spreadsheet capability AInative and systemsoriented High ownership and accountability Core Values (NonNegotiable) Honesty Truth over convenience Ownership Take responsibility and solve problems Humility Teachable and teamfirst Autonomy & DecisionMaking High ownership role Expected to own outcomes, not tasks Approval required initially for major financial decisions (> $30K) Growth Path Clear path to CFO with responsibility for: Building the finance function Owning cost structure and capital allocation Implementing companywide systems Trial Process (Required) Final candidates complete a paid 12 week trial , focused on: Identifying costsaving opportunities Improving a real system Demonstrating execution speed Apply With Resume Examples of systems/automations youve built Example of cost savings or financial impact youve driven #J-18808-Ljbffr
