Position: Pipefitter Journeyperson - Suncor Fort Hills - Outage - NIGHTS Project Type: Outage Project Location: Suncor Fort Hills Shift: Night Schedule: 24/4 Accommodations: Camp Travel Details: Fly to and from site GC: Graham Allied Partner: Heartland Constructors Inc. Reference Number: 30877 Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Journeypersons to join Heartland Constructors at the Suncor Fort Hills site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a plant Outage event that will go approximately from April 21 - May 10, 2026. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working onsite, workers will be staying at the Beaver River Lodge which will provide everything needed while working remotely. The successful candidate would be on a 24/4 rotation, 12 hours per day, NIGHT shift for the duration of the project until completion. Overtime shall apply for all hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Steamfitter pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shutdowns. Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings. Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems. Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required. Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors. Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications. Redline update drawings to an asbuilt condition. Follow various Heartland and Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000.
