Duties Reporting to the Central Accounts Payable Manager, the Payment and Control Analyst is part of the central management team responsible for complying with legislative requirements for the control and reporting of all SAP accounts payable (AP) disbursements. The position is accountable for the management, operation and control of the Government of Manitobas SAP payment production by cheque, direct deposit and wire transfer, as well as for all reporting and problemsolving/error management associated with these payments. The incumbent also maintains the banking information for all vendor master records, liaises with departments regarding banking information policies and procedures, and electronic funds transfer arrangements, in order to resolve any banking errors or irregularities. Qualifications Postsecondary education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Extensive knowledge and experience working with the SAP component of the Finance Module. Experience applying regulations and procedures for various payment types in accordance with the Financial Administration Manual (FAM), General Manual of Administration (GMA), Financial Administration Information Circulars (FAIC), and the Central Accounts Payable intranet. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse community partners, using tact and diplomacy. Ability to prioritize, work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail. Effective verbal communication skills. Effective written communication skills. Excellent problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve SAP payment issues. Proficiency working with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, or compatible software applications. Knowledge of SAP payment journal entry and doubleentry postings. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of foreign currency requirements for provincial payments. Conditions of Employment Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Must be physically capable of performing the duties related to the position, such as moving boxes from various heights or bending to change consumables in several printers.
