About the JobProject XIII Staffing is partnering with a reputable organization in the construction and property management space to hire a Part-Time Payroll Administrator (Permanent) for their office-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys accuracy-driven, end-to-end payroll processing in a structured environment.The OpportunityThe Part-Time Payroll Administrator will be responsible for full-cycle payroll processing across both unionized and non-unionized employee groups. This includes managing varying union agreements, interpreting collective agreement rules, processing hours, deductions, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll completion.This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident handling complex payroll scenarios while working independently in a consistent part-time schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess full-cycle payroll for both unionized and non-unionized employeesInterpret and apply multiple collective bargaining agreements (hours, rates, and deductions)Input and validate employee hours, overtime, vacation, and statutory deductionsProcess union dues, benefits, and garnishments accuratelyMaintain and update payroll records and employee filesReconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepanciesPrepare payroll remittances and support year-end reporting (T4s, ROEs, etc.)Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and internal payroll policiesRespond to employee and management payroll inquiriesSupport payroll audits and reporting requirements as neededKey Performance IndicatorsAccuracy of payroll processing and calculationsTimeliness of weekly/bi-weekly payroll runsCompliance with union and statutory requirementsMinimal payroll errors and adjustmentsResponsiveness to employee and internal inquiriesOrganized and audit-ready payroll recordsCandidate ProfilePrevious experience in payroll administration (full-cycle preferred)Exposure to unionized payroll environments strongly preferredStrong attention to detail and numerical accuracyComfortable working with multiple pay rules and schedulesAbility to manage confidential information professionallyStrong organizational and time management skillsProactive, reliable, and able to work independentlyEducation & RequirementsDiploma or certificate in Payroll, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferredWorking knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft ExcelExperience with union payroll structures considered a strong assetAvailable to work part-time (Monday to Wednesday) on a permanent basisAuthorized to work in CanadaTo ApplyTo apply or learn more, contact Christopher Burton at Project XIII Staffing.
