Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep of a large commercial retail property. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for tenants, customers, and internal stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on building maintenance or handyman experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with tools, and learning new systems. RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS- Perform general maintenance and repairs across interior and exterior building areas- Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and building systems to identify issues early- Perform basic handyman work including minor painting, drywall repair, and carpentry- Assist with minor plumbing and HVAC-related tasks as needed- Communicate with tenants and internal teams to resolve maintenance concerns professionallyREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- At least 1 year of general maintenance or building maintenance experience - Hands-on experience using basic tools and performing general handyman tasks - Exposure to HVAC systems or other building systems - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make educated troubleshooting decisions - Basic computer skills with the ability to work in spreadsheets and maintenance systems - Good verbal communication skills and customer-service mindset - Valid drivers licenseNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Comfort completing minor plumbing, painting, and repair work - Commercial or retail building maintenance experience - Exposure to HVAC systems or building automation/BMS systems - Commercial Building Operator (CBO) experience - 5th Class Power Engineer certification - Strong technical curiosity and eagerness to learn new systemsExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position.
