Job Description

As a Plant Manager reporting to the Director of Operations USA/Canada, you will hold full P&L responsibility along with overall leadership of Production Engineering, Logistics & Operational Excellence, Controlling, Human Resources, and all other functional departments at the companys CK site. You will be responsible for fostering a high-performing, unified team culture, while developing and executing short-, mid-, and long-term business strategies. This includes oversight of budgeting, cost reduction, warranty, staffing, safety, and labour relations to ensure performance aligns with the companys strategic objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & CultureEmbrace the companys leadership principles:Empower with accountability: Take ownership, learn continuously, and support team autonomy and development.Build trust: Collaborate effectively and communicate with honesty and authenticity, leveraging diverse perspectives.Inspire change: Foster innovation and entrepreneurial thinking by creating enthusiasm for the companys future.Lead by example: Honor commitments, actively seek feedback, and promote an inclusive environment where employees feel valued and respected.Own and drive talent management practices, including diversity, equity and inclusion, learning and development, performance management, and succession planning.Strategic & Operational LeadershipContribute to and execute the long-range strategic plan while supporting short-term objectives for BU2 North America.Develop operational roadmaps across Operations, Operational Excellence, Logistics, and Production Engineering, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.Analyze and support improvement opportunities across all functions, including Engineering, Purchasing, Controlling, and HR, engaging cross-functional teams as needed.Partner with executive leadership and plant teams to drive cultural transformation, strengthen collaboration, and enhance organizational capability.Performance & Continuous ImprovementEstablish and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage escalations related to manufacturing, logistics, operational excellence, and production engineering.Lead complex, strategic process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.Drive measurable results through structured change management and continuous improvement practices.Support and lead initiatives such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), 8D problem solving, and value analysis to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.Promote a disciplined, data-driven culture focused on continuous improvement aligned with business objectives.Act as a champion for change and innovation, influencing stakeholders at all levels to embrace new ideas and improvements.Implement measurement systems to identify opportunities and track the impact of improvements.Perform other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required; MBA preferred.Minimum of 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 10 years in progressive leadership roles within a Tier 1 global or multinational organization, with Plant Manager experience required.Demonstrated success in delivering strategic results and leading effective change management initiatives.Strong leadership and project management skills, with proven experience managing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.Solid understanding of P&L management.Strong analytical mindset with a focus on benchmarking and driving year-over-year performance improvements.
