The Senior HR Manager will be a change management champion and bring a strong working knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws and regulations to this dynamic and engaged organization!The Senior HR Manager will own the full HR lifecycle (design, develop and implement) as well as be a true partner to the business (supervisors/managers/leaders) by providing guidance to the client groups on performance management, employee relations, labour relations, training initiatives and be a part of a HRIS implementation while developing and maintaining positive working relationships with managers and employees.Responsibilities include:Work in partnership with the business to provide advice, recommendations and resolutions on all day to day employee relations matters while ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulationsManage sensitive workplace issues, including performance issues and terminations; lead or participate on fact finding investigations and partner with external legal counsel as requiredPromotes an effective approach to performance management with managers, creates and manages performance improvement plans Drives HR process development and improvements through collaboration, clear communication and executionBuilds strong stakeholder relationships, enabling excellent prioritization and delivery of a variety of HR initiativesAssists with an HRIS implementationIdentifies opportunities to improve processes and proceduresDevelops employee engagement and retention initiatives including building a succession plan and career path planningProvides training to frontline supervisors and managers on a variety of HR programs and initiativesSupports programs and initiatives to improve the employee experience, including leading presentations and training as requiredSupports the year-end compensation and performance review processCollaborates on projects to support the business needs as required, providing subject matter expertise to the Executive TeamQualifications8-10+ years of progressive experience as a HR Manager or Senior ManagerExperience working in a manufacturing environment Experience building HR programs and initiatives from the ground upExperience with a HRIS implementation University Degree and CHRP is considered an assetExcellent knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Legislation and Health and Safety StandardsDemonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDisplays a high level of service orientation and willing to pitch in and help mind-setEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop and sustain collaborative working relationshipsDemonstrated ability to work as a team playerTechnically savvy with HR systems
