Products and services are sold across 40+ countries.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSThe Vice President, General Manager will report directly to the Group President of Secondary Packaging and Pharma. The VP & General Manager will oversee an organization of approximately 225 reporting up through the direct reports, which include the Manager of Operations, the R&D Manager, the Director of Engineering, Controller, Manager of After Market, and Manager of Inside Sales.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe Vice President and General Manager position requires strong leadership experience, ideally within customized capital equipment manufacturing or automation solutions businesses, broad operational and customer facing experience, and a successful track record of achieving revenue, profit, and business goals for an organization.Primary responsibilities of the position include:Develop, implement, and execute the strategic plan, ensuring that revenue, profit, and business goals are achieved.Will have full profit and loss responsibilities for this very successful business.Be the lead brand ambassador, creating and maintaining a positive culture and eliminating threats which could tarnish the brand image and reputation in the marketplace.Provide accurate financial reporting to the organization as well as weekly and monthly reports to senior leadership in corporate to track the YTD and MTD performance.Encourage sales team collaboration within the broader network of sister companies and promote the use of their inhouse programs.Ensure that department leaders are held accountable to build and maintain a group of talented and collaborative employees by providing feedback, managing performance, providing training and development opportunities while hiring A players and working with Human Resources as appropriate toward these efforts.Gather and communicate competitive intelligence within the global organization.Solicit feedback from customers to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.Manage divisional SG&A expenses in accordance with annual budget and forecast.Measure, track, and communicate all critical KPIs to enable continuous improvements.Ability to continue to develop and execute a winning go-to-market strategy for the organization and lead and develop an already strong and capable management team.Provide vision and leadership regarding long-range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the organization.Clearly and consistently communicate product line vision and growth to the organization and lead the efforts to achieve this vision.Oversee and direct Leadership Team in Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Human Resources. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of staff.Interface with Executive team regarding strategic plan, budget, and monthly financial calls. Discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.Review and approve analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, and submittal for capital expenditures.Leverage past experience and strong communication skills to ensure collaboration and cohesiveness across all departments of the organization.Direct activities to ensure safety, compliance, quality, and regulatory control standards.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESPrevious and successful GM experience in a manufacturing environment is required.Successful experience managing, building, and leading an Automation Solutions or Capital Equipment Manufacturing Facility/Organization.A track record of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight.Proven experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, and performance management.Must possess strong and proven financial knowledge and capability.Business market intelligence advanced knowledge of the customized automation solutions market.Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, evaluate, and hold accountable and enhance effectiveness of a team with a diverse set of strengths and management styles.Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization.Demonstrated ability to share vision, skills, and knowledge with others.Skilled at overcoming barriers, balancing multiple priorities, and thriving in a fast-paced environment with tact and diplomacy.Results-oriented, self-confident, self-motivated, takes initiative, persistent.Strong relationship, leadership, team building and coaching skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated managerial courage -- ability to manage, motivate, evaluate, and hold accountable and enhance effectiveness of a team with a diverse set of strengths and management styles.Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization.Demonstrated ability to share vision, skills, and knowledge with others.Highly skilled problem-solving capabilities with both technical and organizational challengesSkilled at overcoming barriers, balancing multiple priorities, and thriving in a fast-paced environment with tact and diplomacy.Results-oriented, self-confident, self-motivated, takes initiative, and is persistent.Moderate travel based on business needs.EDUCATION & TRAININGBachelors degree is required, preferably with a mechanical engineering focus.Graduate degree, including an MBA, is plus but not a must.COMPENSATIONCompetitive compensation consisting of base, bonus and equity
