Coupled with our large finishing bay, our capabilities ensure your project is completed within specifications, on time and on budget.A Mechanical Designer is responsible for designing various mechanical devices that will be vital in developing large structures, working closely with our team of Project Managers, Shop Personnel to ensure project success. We are looking to add someone to our team who is a lateral thinker, able to navigate complexity and embrace ambiguity.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign a variety of tanks, structures and over industrial bulk productsCorrespond with Project Manager(s) to ensure design is reflective of the scope of workInvolvement in all stages of the design process from concept to approval drawings, including the creation of detailed shop drawingsOwn the research, design, and test of product or product subsystem development utilizing CAD and analysis tools.Complete Solidworks 3D modeling and provide 2D drawing packagesCreate bills of materials in the ERP system for procurementWork with purchasing to source materials from capable vendors for the purpose of engineering prototypesAssist with the assembly of product information for technical writers to create manualsWork with sales to create concepts and project scopesDegree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.You have a minimum of 3 years industrial equipment design experienceExpert level knowledge of SolidWorks/PDM and AutoCAD 2DComprehensive understanding of metal fabricating equipment and experience with welding and sheet metalFamiliar with creating Bills of Materials (BOMS) for procurement of materials and componentsYou have a working knowledge of automated equipment and material handlingExperience in hydraulic and pneumatic schematic creation is considered an assetYou have an applied knowledge of Design for Manufacturing techniquesAble to communicate completed designs effectively using 2D engineered drawingsFluent in MS Suite applicationsWe Look Forward to Hearing from You!We are committed to diversity and inclusion.
