626 Upper Wentworth Street, Hamilton, ON, L91 4V3 Overview of Church and Community Mount Hamilton Baptist Church (MHBC) is seeking a passionate and relational Associate Pastor to join our pastoral team and help lead our church in discipleship, pastoral care, and mission. MHBC is a growing, intergenerational church of approximately 300 people, with a strong desire to be welcoming, community-focused, and intentional in spiritual growth. Christian We know it is important for people to find community, but we believe it is even more important for people to find God. Missional The term missional refers to living each day with a mission in mind the mission of sharing God with others and caring for people as He has called us. As a missional church, our goal is not just to care for those in our walls, but to reach out beyond them. Qualifications and Education Requirements Theological education (MDiv or equivalent preferred) Ordained or willing to pursue ordination with the CBOQ Role and Responsibilities Lead and develop discipleship pathways (small groups, Alpha, prayer initiatives) Provide pastoral care (visits, calls, prayer, crisis support) Foster connection and community engagement, especially with newcomers Support and equip ministry teams and volunteers Participate in Sunday services (preaching, leadership, volunteer management, presence) Help lead local and global mission initiatives Contribute to church administration and communication Preferred Skills A committed follower of Jesus with a clear call to pastoral ministry Relational, approachable, and passionate about people Gifted in discipleship, care, and team leadership Organized, flexible, and able to balance people-focused ministry with administrative responsibilities Aligned with the vision and values of MHBC and the CBOQ Contact If you feel called to this role, we would love to hear from you.
