We''re looking for a Forensic Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Edmonton. You''ll lead the structural design of complex, multi-discipline building projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior staff and serving as engineer of record on key files. This is a leadership role for someone who is technically sharp, client-confident, and ready to take real ownership of project delivery. What You''ll Do Lead structural design across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry for commercial, institutional, and mid-rise residential buildings Act as engineer of record prepare, review, and seal structural drawings and calculations Direct project teams and mentor intermediate and junior engineers and technologists Coordinate structural systems with architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines Manage client relationships; attend design meetings and present technical recommendations Conduct site reviews, respond to RFIs, and review shop drawings during construction Contribute to proposals, project scopes, and fee estimates for new business Uphold quality control standards and internal design review processes What You''ll Bring Bachelor''s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master''s an asset) P.Eng registration with APEGA required at time of hire 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience in buildings Demonstrated experience as engineer of record on permit and IFC packages Proficiency with structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, or equivalent) Working knowledge of NBC, NBCC, and Alberta Building Code Experience with Revit/BIM coordination workflows Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients and contractors Valid Alberta driver''s licence Nice to Have Post-tensioned concrete or mass timber experience Healthcare, civic, or institutional project background Tesla Structures or Python/automation scripting Project management skills or PM designation What We Offer Competitive senior-level salary commensurate with experience Annual performance bonus + RRSP matching Comprehensive health and dental benefits from day one Paid professional development and membership dues (APEGA) Clear growth path to Principal or Associate Meaningful, complex projects across Alberta and beyond We thank all applicants.
