The Impact You Will Make Reporting to the Senior Manager, Philanthropy, the Intern, Philanthropy Data & Stewardship will be responsible for supporting accurate donor data management and stewardship processes within the Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) team. This role contributes to strengthening donor relationships and advancing fundraising goals by ensuring data integrity, documenting procedures, and assisting with donor stewardship activities. The Intern will play a key role in maintaining clean, reliable donor records and creating actionable insights for relationship managers. Responsibilities Data Management & Accuracy Upload donor actions and gift information into the database with a high level of accuracy. Verify and update donor gift details, including soft credits for donoradvised funds and thirdparty platforms (e.g., Benevity, Canada Helps). Ensure primary and secondary donor relationships are correctly reflected in the database. Conduct regular data quality checks to identify and correct errors. Donor Recognition & Stewardship Review donor records to identify recognition names for highvalue donors based on lifetime and annual giving thresholds. Create and maintain lists of donors requiring recognition updates and coordinate with relationship managers for outreach. Input updated recognition information into donor profiles to support stewardship programs. Collaboration, Research & Analysis Work closely with P&P team members to ensure data supports strategic fundraising initiatives. Research and analyze donoradvised fund (DAF) data to inform engagement strategies. Support relationship mapping of volunteers and key stakeholders to strengthen connections and identify opportunities that will help grow philanthropy and fundraising efforts. Qualifications Eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program: Youth must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. Be a postsecondary student returning to school in the Fall. International students are not eligible participants. Youth facing barriers to employment will be prioritized. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy when managing and reviewing data. Interest in philanthropy, fundraising, or nonprofit sector and willingness to learn donor stewardship practices. Familiarity with data management tools or CRM systems is an asset. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for diverse audiences to build strong working relationships across cultural and organizational settings, both internally and externally. Demonstrated project management experience for task execution of assigned objectives supported by proficiency with MS Office tools and relevant technologies. Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines to achieve SCC objectives. Displays analytical and problemsolving skills to support initiatives with demonstrated adaptability to support change management for successful task implementation. Applies judgment and makes sound decisions that are accountable, justifiable, and in adherence to policies and procedures. Benefits This position will be paid $20.00 CAD per hour. 35 hours per week.
