The Opportunity: We need a Manager, Perioperative & Obstetrics Services to join our leadership team. You want to be the next leader of the Perioperative and Obstetrics Services because CGMH provides surgical services in orthopaedics, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology and support the Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy and MDRD. In this role you will lead two very busy areas with CGMH approaching 600 births annually and over 6,100 surgeries. This role will join a leadership team that is engaged in not only supporting todays patient care and teams, but is planning for Tomorrows Hospital. This role will collaborate with the Hospital Development team to support the planning process which includes expanded operating room availability. As a member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will support core leadership responsibilities within the Perioperative Program and will join a team working towards Accreditation in spring 2027. You wont lead these teams alone! In addition to being supported by the Chiefs of Service in each area, CGMH is introducing a new model to support our leadership team continue to elevate quality and support our inspired team. Access to funding to support education that you want to pursue Join or continue in HOOPP, a defined benefit contribution pension plan Five weeks of vacation Fulsome health and wellness benefits package Leadership role with schedule flexibility, including the option for some remote work to support focused projects and tasks As The Successful Applicant You Will Do The Following Oversee daily operations of perioperative program and obstetrics department to ensure a collaborative environment and safe, high quality patient care Provide availability, support and problem solving to needs of the units and across departments of the Hospital Complete leadership core responsibilities of budget management, employee engagement and performance, quality and patient safety and the patient experience Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards and regulatory requirements Actively participate and engage in Hospital Leadership activities, including sitting on relevant committees and regional meetings Partner with the Chief of the Department on program development, risk analysis and decision making What Youll Bring A Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Bachelors degree in Nursing (BScN) required Minimum 5 years of applicable clinical experience in an acute care setting Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role Knowledge of NAPAN standards Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvement and program initiatives Demonstrated experience in budgeting, staffing, incident responses, and operational planning from a collaborative perspective with physician leadership and support services partners Proven ability to lead from a people centered lens with an education focus, data informed decision making and curiosity to support strategic priorities Preferred Masters Degree in Nursing, Leadership or a related field Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) membership Experience in obstetrics preferred Knowledge of MDRD principles or MDRD certification Values Be Kind fostering a culture of compassion, empathy, and dignity in every interaction Support Each Other working together across all roles to uplift our team and our patients Lead by Example setting a standard of integrity, fairness, and professionalism Keep Growing embracing curiosity, innovation, and learning to adapt to future needs Join Tomorrows Team Today: Shape the Future of Care in South Georgian Bay at CGMH!
