Description Purolator Digital Lab (PDL) is a division of Purolator Inc. that is dedicated to the rapid development of engineered technologies. Our goal is to deliver tech that enables Purolator to be the premier freight, parcel, and logistics provider in Canada. PDL is a wellfunded startup within Purolator, a progressive and profitable Canadian company. This division is developing several systems to drive new business for Purolator and our strategic partners. The Role As a Software Developer on the PDL Engineering team, youll own the frontend execution across a portfolio of fastmoving projects; PoCs, MVPs, and production systems that span digital acceleration, AI tooling, IoT, and beyond. Youll be the frontend anchor on a team of backendleaning fullstacks, which means your craft will be visible and your ownership real. You wont just be handed designs to implement. Youll think through what youre building, the edge cases, the user experience, what happens after it ships, and bring that thinking to the table without being asked. Responsibilities Owning frontend architecture, component design, and UI execution across multiple concurrent projects Collaborating with Purolators design team and making independent design decisions when needed Integrating frontend work with APIs and backend services Delivering PoCs and MVPs quickly without leaving a mess behind Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and contributing to team standards Writing documentation as part of shipping Technologies Youll Work With JavaScript / TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS Vue or Angular (asset) Mobile development Flutter, React Native (asset) Component libraries and design systems C#, .NET, Node.js, Python (backend integration context) Gen AI & Agents (Copilot, Claude, GPT), AIassisted development workflows Microsoft Azure DevOps (work assignment, pipelines, releases) Microsoft Azure cloud computing (service hosting) The Candidate Take genuine ownership of your work thinking through the full picture, not just the ticket in front of you Have a sharp eye for detail and care about the quality of what you ship, visually and technically Thrive in a highvolume, multiproject environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is normal Are genuinely curious about new problems, tools, and domains and lean into AI rather than away from it Collaborate well with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders, and hold your own when design decisions need to be made independently Communicate clearly and document your work without being asked Find the fastpaced, PoCheavy rhythm of an R&D team energizing, not exhausting Required Skills 35 years of experience in fullstack development with a strong frontend bias Proficiency in React and TypeScript; solid command of HTML/CSS and responsive design Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services Familiarity with component libraries and design systems Comfortable working across the stack Node.js, Python, or C#/.NET exposure is an asset Experience with version control (Git) and agile development practices Strong communication and documentation skills Experience with or genuine interest in AIassisted development workflows Mobile development experience (Flutter, React Native) is a plus Who are we?
