Position Senior Mechanical Designer - Heavy Material Handling Equipment Job Type Permanent Education - Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 10+ years of Custom and/or Out-of-the-box design - Available portfolio for presentation - P.Eng registration preferred but not manditory Duties / Responsibilities - Prepare detailed design calculations and analysis of mechanical equipment for the Steel Industry. - Prepare technical and other project specifications. - Coordinate mechanical design work with that performed by other engineering disciplines. - Be capable, if the need arises, to coordinate and direct the work of a small group of mechanical designers and draftspersons. - Prepare proposals, feasibility studies, reports, and preliminary designs. - Prepare detailed design calculations, conceptual layouts, and sketches. - Develop initial concepts into final designs, which would include preparing detail drawings, assemblies, bills of material, etc. - Investigate field problems, and prepare reports. - Provide on-site technical support during major machinery installations. - Provide support to the sales team when visiting customers. - Provide technical guidance to co-workers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
