This role is an 8week term position open to youth between the ages of 1530 as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program. Why Apply - Flexible work hours and a 35hour work week - Opportunities for professional development and career growth - A talented, diverse, and inclusive team doing transformative work on a national scale - Hybrid work opportunities available What You Will Do - Assist in the development, construction, testing, and maintenance of the internal database and data analysis processes. - Work collaboratively with the data and analytics team on data initiatives, ensuring consistency and integrity in data management across projects. - Support the processes for data modeling, mining, and production. - Utilize various analytical tools, languages, and GenAI tools to integrate datasets and advance new insights. - Participate in the development and implementation of data standards and common data elements as required. - Help maintain the security and privacy of the database. - Provide regular updates on the status of data projects. Who You Are - Currently pursuing or looking to pursue a University Degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. - Demonstrated interest in data analysis, software development, or a similar role. - Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or other languages amenable to data analysis. - Familiarity with Power BI and its data visualization capabilities, including DAX coding. - Strong organizational and analytical skills. - Problemsolving mindset with an emphasis on understanding and interpreting data. - Familiarity and knowledge of GenAI and its practical applications in database development and data analysis. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across teams. - An understanding, awareness, and appreciation of Indigenous culture and history. - Must be fluent in English (spoken and written); Fluency in French is an asset.
