You are an internally recognized expert in process development and process engineering, capable of identifying, defining, and solving complex business problems by applying broad technical knowledge and an in-depth understanding of manufacturing technology related to Mondelz products. You will serve as a senior technical resource, interacting regularly with senior management. How You Will Contribute You will support the development, optimization, and specification of processes that deliver consumer benefit through new products, quality improvements, and costsaving opportunities. You will develop project objectives, technical approaches, plans, deliverables, and timelines to deliver solutions on time and on budget, while providing status updates to stakeholders. As a technical leader, you will continually evolve your expertise, share best practices, influence technical direction for business benefit, and drive technical development of people through teaching, coaching, mentoring, and identifying future leaders. What You Will Bring - Experience executing benchtop, pilotscale, and plantscale process development activities and plant commercialization. - Project management skills that allow handling multiple, complex projects, prioritizing, and managing budgets, risk, and timelines. - Knowledge of manufacturing operations and process engineering. - Global working mindset. - Strong process background with understanding of statistical, modeling, and simulation tools. - Ability to lead technical teams and junior talent to deliver on process innovations. - Influencing technical direction of the business using organizational awareness and clear communication. - Ensuring foundational skills keep pace with technology advancements. As the Technical Lead, You Will - Be trusted and viewed as a technical subjectmatter expert. - Conduct rigorous analysis of product formulation, packaging, and specifications to ensure new formulas and initiatives are fully runnable on production lines and meet efficiency and waste targets. - Leverage deep knowledge of oven functionality, advanced thermal devices, and statistical analysis to maintain centerlines. - Participate in Technical Readiness Level reviews and shape the technical direction of the business. - Lead execution and oversight of Alternative Line Qualifications, providing technical support and troubleshooting for trials. - Ensure meticulous documentation for Commissioning, Qualification and Verification initiatives, covering centerlines, critical process parameters, and critical quality parameters. - Lead strategic projects and process optimization to deliver consumer benefits, qualitydriven projects, and cost savings. - Develop bottomup initiatives, technical approaches, plans, deliverables, and timelines for ontime, onbudget delivery. - Collaborate globally and regionally with Engineering, R&D, BD, and Quality to deploy robust processes across Mondelz factories, emphasizing superior consumer experience. - Mentor junior process and quality engineers and manage an intern for a 12week summer program to develop future leaders. - Manage a product technician responsible for bar tests and defect measurements. - Shape the technical direction through strong organizational awareness and compelling communication. - Roll out and embed manufacturing standards and capability building, offering advanced training to reduce quality losses. - Drive continuous evolution of foundational skills, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technological advancements. - Act as a senior technical resource in quality management and innovation initiative management pillars, supporting design briefs and critical parameters. Required Qualifications & Experience - Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Food Science. - Certifications: Green Belt certification (optional). - Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a manufacturing environment. - Technical Acumen: Advanced understanding of statistical, modeling, and simulation tools. - Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritizing and overseeing budgets, risks, and timelines with an actionoriented approach. - Global Mindset: Experience or strong aptitude for working effectively in a global context. - Influence & Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information, influence stakeholders, and articulate technical gaps and solutions. - ProblemSolving: Resourceful and creative approach to developing innovative solutions for complex challenges. - Collaboration: Demonstrated collaborative spirit, building strong relationships across functions and teams. - Proactive & Resilient: Selfstarter with a positive, cando attitude, exhibiting flexibility, agility, and a resultoriented drive in a fastpaced environment. - Continuous Learner: Curious and open communicator committed to constant learning and professional development. Working Environment & Expectations - Onsite presence: At least 65% of activities on the plant floor. - Impact: Direct influence on product quality, process performance, and cost efficiency with SME recognition. - Personal Protective Equipment: Adherence to standard PPE requirements. - Good Manufacturing Practices: Strict compliance with GMPs such as hair nets, beard guards, no jewelry, no fake nails or nail polish, and no lash extensions. - Travel: May be required as needed by the business. Salary and Benefits The expected base salary range for this position is $102,600 to $128,250 CAD, depending on experience, skills, education, and budget. The position also offers a competitive bonus program with a target of 14%, with potential for overachievement.
