Multimedia Archivist Intern (Summer Internship) Canada | Marketing & Communications | Internship | Mission-Driven Work Why you'll love this role: Your work will strengthen powerful storytelling. Your work will establish systems and processes that improve how media is archived, accessed, and used long after your internship ends. Youll collaborate with a creative, missiondriven team. Youll work closely with Marketing & Communications professionals and contribute ideas that shape how stories are told. Why this role matters: Jack.org has a rich library of youthled video content that captures powerful stories and impact, but it currently exists across decentralized systems. As Multimedia Archivist Intern, you will play a key role in transforming this content into a cohesive, accessible, and futureready media archive. Your work will enable teams across the organization to efficiently access, repurpose, and share video assets in support of programs, campaigns, and advocacy. In addition, youll contribute to the creation of a new sizzle reel that showcases the organizations mission, impact, and the power of youth leadership, helping elevate storytelling and external engagement. What youll do: Video Asset Organization & Archiving - Audit and organize existing video files across multiple sources - Develop a structured and sustainable digital asset management (DAM) system - Tag and categorize footage by theme, event, and program - Create documentation and recommendations for longterm content management Content Creation & Sizzle Reel Support - Collaborate on scripting and editing a new organizational sizzle reel - Prepare and optimize video files (compression, formatting, clipping, accessibility) - Support editing of shortform highlight and promotional videos Team Collaboration - Work closely with the MarCom team, including Video Production, Marketing, and Communications leads - Contribute creative ideas to enhance storytelling - Support retrieval and repurposing of archived content for internal requests General Responsibilities - Participate in team meetings and skillbuilding sessions - Maintain ethical standards when working with youthcentred and mental healthrelated content What you bring: Required Qualifications - Eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program (ages 1530 and legally able to work in Canada) - Experience with digital asset management or content organization systems - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of media files - Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or similar - Excellent communication and collaboration skills Assets - Familiarity with metadata tagging and version control systems - Experience creating shortform videos or highlight reels - Background in storytelling for social impact or nonprofit organizations - Experience working with youthcentred or mental healthrelated content What youll gain: - A fulltime, paid internship ($22/hour) over 9 weeks - Handson experience in media archiving, digital asset management, and video production - Exposure to a national nonprofits Marketing & Communications function - A collaborative, flexible, and creative work environment - The opportunity to contribute to meaningful youth mental health advocacy How youll spend your time: - Video archiving & asset organization: ~40% - Content creation & editing: ~30% - Collaboration & content support: ~20% - Documentation & process development: ~10% Additional Details: - Dates: June 1, 2026 July 31, 2026 - Duration: 9 weeks (fulltime) - Location: Remote (Canadawide), with optional inperson collaboration in Toronto - Work Hours: Flexible, with core collaboration between 10 AM 4 PM ET How to Apply: If this opportunity resonates with you, wed love to hear from you.
