Job Description

As aConstruction Site Supervisorat Solico Metal, you will support the Field Operations Manager in overseeing structural steel erection projects. Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily job site operations, ensuring deadlines are met and installations are completed according to project specifications. - Coordinate with vendors, fabrication teams, installers, and site superintendents to ensure projects are delivered on time and in accordance with approved drawings. - Produce erection progress and site daily reports - Follow up on the delivery schedule and validate delivery slips - Participate to coordination meetings with the engineering, detailing and fabrication team - Attend on-site coordination meetings with the General Contractor - Assist the steel erector in repair request (field works and deficiencies) - Assist with health and safety recordings - Other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor Qualifications - Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings. - Bachelor of Civil Engineering/Construction Management - Autonomy and ability to manage priorities - Must have a valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle. - Willingness to progress, learn, discover, and be part of a high functioning/fast-paced team - Exceptional organizational and English communication skills (verbal and written) - Bilingualism (English and French) would be considered an asset - The ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple priorities - Punctuality, maturity, reliability, an ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions while delivering exceptional customer service is essential to excel in this role - Willing to travel to the assigned construction site. Travel and accommodations by Solico Metal, if required. - Ability to operate Zoom Boom is considered an asset. Preferred Qualifications - 3 to 5 years experience Working Conditions While based inCalgary, youll need to travel across Western Canada as projects dictate. The role follows a standard 40-hour week(7:30 AM 4:30 PM with a one-hour lunch), though flexibility for overtime is essential to keep our teams and schedules on track.
