Remote or Hybrid (Oakville) Full-time (14 months) The CAN Health Network is helping build a stronger, more competitive Canadian economy by connecting health care operators with Canadian technology companies to bring innovative solutions into the health care system. As a federally funded national network, CAN Health works with health care organizations, known as Edges, to identify pressing challenges and match them with Canadian-made solutions that can be validated, procured, and scaled across the country. The Partnerships, Strategic Insights & Company Support team plays a critical role in advancing organizational sustainability by developing strategic partnerships, delivering advisory engagements, and generating revenue that supports CAN Healths long-term growth and impact while attributing to the mission of scaling Canadian health technology companies. The team works across public and private sector stakeholders to identify new opportunities, develop strategic initiatives, generate evidence-based insights, and deliver high-value engagements that align with both partner priorities, organizational objectives and company growth goals. We are a national Network and have colleagues across Canada. CAN Health HQ is located in downtown Oakville, Ontario. This role can be remote, with a strong preference for a local GTHA candidate to go to the CAN Health Headquarters in Oakville. What Youll Do Reporting to the CEO and Founder, CAN Health is seeking an Associate Vice President, Partnerships, Strategic Insights & Company Support. This role is accountable for leading and delivering the full portfolio strategy across partnerships, market insights, and company support, aligned with organizational priorities. The AVP will drive portfolio outcomes including revenue generation, strategic partnerships, and advisory engagements, while building relationships with senior leaders across public and private sectors to originate new business. This role also leads Company Support, enabling the growth and scale of Canadian health technology companies through operations, programming, and advisory services. As a senior leader, you will engage regularly with the CEO, Executive Team, Senior Leaders and, collaborate cross-functionally to oversee portfolio performance. You will track progress against key objectives and providing reporting to executive leadership and the Board as needed. The ideal candidate is a strategic and highly motivated builder, someone who brings commercial instincts, sharp judgment, and the ability to translate complex market and stakeholder dynamics into strong partnerships, new revenue opportunities, and longterm organizational value. In this role, you will: - Lead the strategy and execution of the Partnerships, Strategic Insights & Company Support portfolio, aligned with enterprise priorities and approved strategic plans. - Identify, cultivate, negotiate, and steward strategic relationships across private and public sectors to advance organizational impact, innovation adoption, and revenue growth. - Build and maintain a strong pipeline of partnership and advisory opportunities, positioning the organization within the broader health system and innovation ecosystem. Revenue Development & Business Growth - Drive diversified revenue generation, including corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and advisory engagements. - Establish and deliver on annual revenue targets in collaboration with executive leadership, with accountability for forecasting, performance tracking, and course correction. - Lead new business development efforts, including opportunity shaping, proposal development, and closing of strategic engagements. Market Insights, Advisory & Health Technology ScaleUp - Oversee the development of market insights, research, and advisory engagements that inform partner strategy and systemlevel decisionmaking. - Translate insights into actionable opportunities that support commercialization, procurement, and scale of Canadian health technology companies. - Oversee the Company Support function, enabling growth through programming, operational support, and advisory services aligned to company and market needs. Operational Oversight - Lead or support negotiation of partnership agreements and commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and risk management standards. - Oversee financial performance across the portfolio, including revenue tracking, contract management, and renewal strategy. - Ensure effective governance, documentation, and operational alignment across all engagements. Stakeholder Engagement & External Representation - Serve as senior relationship lead for key partners, engaging confidently with Csuite and executive stakeholders across health systems and industry. - Represent the organization in external meetings, events, and industry forums to advance partnerships and strategic positioning. - Ensure a high standard of partner experience, stewardship, and reporting. - Lead and develop a highperforming team, providing direction, mentorship, and accountability across functional areas. - Collaborate crossfunctionally to ensure integrated execution of portfolio priorities. - Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and, as required, the Board, on portfolio performance, revenue, pipeline, and strategic outcomes. What You Bring In this role, you will bring executive leadership, strategic judgment, and the ability to operate at both an enterprise and operational level within a complex, multistakeholder environment. You will likely bring: - Successful completion of a university degree in business, health, or a related discipline; MBA or Masters degree considered an asset. - 10+ years of progressive experience across partnerships, business strategy, consulting, or health technology, with demonstrated leadership responsibility. - Proven experience leading and scaling strategic partnerships, revenuegenerating initiatives, and advisory engagements. - Demonstrated success managing senior stakeholder relationships, including Csuite and executive leaders across public and private sectors. - Strong track record of driving revenue outcomes, developing business pipelines, and closing complex deals or engagements. - Experience leading highperforming teams, including setting direction, managing performance, and enabling crossfunctional collaboration. - Deep analytical and strategic capability, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable growth and commercialization opportunities. - Experience within healthcare, health systems, or health technology environments, with an understanding of commercialization and scale pathways. - Experience leveraging AI and digital tools to improve the quality and effectiveness of your work. - Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy, exercise sound judgment, and lead complex portfolios in dynamic environments. - French language skills are an asset. - Willingness to travel as required.
