Job Description

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Duration: 10 Months Role Overview The Systems Testing / QA Specialist will contribute to testing activities across the delivery and product management lifecycle. This role is responsible for defining testing strategies, developing and executing test cases, managing defects, and supporting system, functional, and user acceptance testing to ensure highquality solutions. Key Responsibilities - Lead and contribute to the development of test strategies, test plans, test cases, scenarios, scripts, and regression testing. - Manage and schedule testing activities, including test case development, DevOps maintenance activities, accessibility (AODA), and stress/load testing. - Execute and oversee manual and automated test cases across unit, system, functional, integration, business, and UAT phases. - Identify, document, track, and manage system and functional defects through resolution. - Review functional and design specifications to ensure complete understanding of requirements. - Identify test requirements, map test cases to requirements, and design test coverage plans. - Identify potential quality issues and raise risks in accordance with defined processes. - Develop and maintain test artifacts including test plans, scripts, test data, test summary reports, and data validation documentation. - Support and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, providing guidance to business users. - Review user documentation and provide feedback to improve clarity and alignment. - Prepare test data sets that reflect realworld scenarios and ensure broad coverage. - Create and execute database queries to extract and validate test data. - Collaborate closely with QA teams, business stakeholders, developers, and vendors to support defect triage and resolution. - Facilitate or support test plan and test case reviews with crossfunctional teams. Mandatory Qualifications - 8+ years of handson Quality Assurance experience, including leading QA teams. - Strong experience with defect tracking and change management using collaborative tools. - Handson experience with technologies such as: - Web applications and services - SharePoint - COTS, SaaS, and cloudbased applications - Experience working closely with clients, technical teams, and vendors to resolve defects and manage change requests. - Knowledge and experience using version control systems, preferably Microsoft DevOps. - Strong understanding of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Excellent analytical, problemsolving, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fastpaced environment. Desired Skills and Experience - Experience planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts for complex systems. - Knowledge of structured methodologies for application development and maintenance. - Experience with automated testing tools. - Strong background in: - Functional and nonfunctional testing - Integration and system testing - Data, load, and performance testing - Experience contributing QA perspectives across development and integration activities. - Proven ability to adapt testing plans based on progress and results. - Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. - Prior experience in public sector or government environments is an asset. Knowledge Transfer Expectations - Document and transfer all testing artifacts, system knowledge, and best practices developed during the assignment. - Share lessons learned, workarounds, and relevant technical knowledge with project team members. #J-18808-Ljbffr
