Job Description

JMC is pleased to be partnering with Pump House Brewery in the search for a Brewer to join their team. Reporting to the Head Brewer, the Brewer will play an important role in all stages of the brewing process, including milling, brew house operations, fermentation, filtration/centrifugation, and preparing product for packaging. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in maintaining quality, consistency, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Support brewing, fermentation, blending, filtration, and centrifuge processes - Operate equipment related to milling, brewing, centrifugation, filtration, and blending operations - Monitor process parameters and maintain accurate records throughout production - Conduct quality sampling, testing, and related documentation - Complete cleaning and sanitation activities for brewing equipment and associated production areas - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment - Follow standard operating procedures and safe work practices - Assist with packaging operations as required - Support the development of new recipes and brewing processes - Provide on-the-job training and support to team members when needed - Complete other related duties as assigned Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of brewing experience - Strong technical knowledge of brewing and production processes - High school diploma or equivalent required - Post-secondary education in a related field such as microbiology, biochemistry, or another science discipline is considered an asset - Completion of an accredited brewery school program is considered an asset - Forklift experience is considered an asset - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail - Ability to lift and move kegs, malt bags, dry ingredients, pails, and other materials as required This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate must be able to work rotating shifts Monday to Friday, with some weekend work required: - Morning: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Afternoon: 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. - Evening: 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. If you enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a production environment, and want to be part of the team at Pump House Brewery, we would love to hear from you.
