Freelance Technical Design Detailer (Furniture & Custom Fixtures) We are seeking a proactive Freelance Technical Designer to join our production group and take full ownership of a diverse project portfolio. This is a 100% remote, contract-based role that offers the freedom to set your own hours while operating in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment. The Role In this position, you will be responsible for the end-to-end drafting process for high-end furniture and retail store fixtures. Your primary focus will be translating client visions into reality through smart thinking and rigorous technical accuracy. Key Responsibilities: - Draft comprehensive production drawings tailored to specific client requirements for furniture and store environments. - Coordinate closely with fabrication teams and project managers to ensure design feasibility. - Participate in pre-production reviews and analyze initial client sketches. - Manage ongoing drawing maintenance, including all necessary revisions and technical documentation. Requirements & Qualifications The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and excels at navigating fast-paced project cycles. - Software: Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience using Autodesk Inventor. - Licensing: Must possess a valid personal software license for Inventor. - Technical Knowledge: A solid grasp of manufacturing processes involving wood and metal materials. - Tools: Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. - Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with a flexible approach to problem-solving.
