A regulated career college in Ontario is seeking an experienced nursing professional in Ontario to support the exploration and potential launch of a new nursing program. We are looking for a well-connected and highly credible individual with strong knowledge of the Ontario nursing and health care landscape, particularly in relation to clinical education and program development. The ideal candidate will bring senior-level experience, established relationships in the health sector, and the ability to help identify and develop clinical placement opportunities for students. About the Role This is a contract-based position focused on supporting the early stages of nursing program development. The primary objective will be to help the college build the relationships, partnerships, and strategic groundwork necessary to establish clinical rotation opportunities in hospitals and other health care settings. Should the program proceed, there is potential for the role to evolve into a full-time position. Key Areas of Contribution - Advise on the Ontario nursing education and clinical placement environment - Support outreach to hospitals and other health care organizations regarding student clinical rotations - Leverage existing sector relationships to help establish placement partnerships - Provide guidance on regulatory, professional, and operational considerations related to nursing program development - Advise on program feasibility, stakeholder engagement, and sector expectations - Contribute informed perspectives on the needs of nursing education providers and practice partners in Ontario Preferred Qualifications and Experience - Registered nurse with significant experience in Ontario - Board experience with CINO strongly preferred - Extensive contacts and relationships across the Ontario health sector - Experience working with colleges, universities, or other institutions involved in training nurses - Strong understanding of clinical education, placement coordination, and nursing program expectations - Experience in leadership, consultation, or strategic development roles is an asset Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is a strategic and respected nursing professional who understands both education and practice environments, and who can help bridge the gap between a prospective nursing program and the clinical partners needed to support it.
