We are partnering with a well-established and highly regarded organization in the construction and development sector and they are seeking a people-focused Human Resources Business Partner / Manager to join their HR team and support a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leaders and employees, delivering both operational HR support and strategic people guidance. Position Overview The Human Resources Business Partner / Manager is responsible for providing end-to-end HR support across the organization. The role partners closely with leaders to strengthen employee engagement, performance, and retention, while ensuring thoughtful, compliant people practices. Talent Acquisition is an important component of this role, with responsibility for supporting and executing full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles in collaboration with hiring managers and the broader HR team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional with strong employee relations experience, sound judgment, and the ability to balance day-to-day HR delivery with coaching and advisory responsibilities in an agile environment. Key Responsibilities HR Business Partnering - Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, supporting daily HR needs and broader organizational goals - Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, investigations, and policy interpretation - Support employee development initiatives, including leadership development, training programs, and career progression - Administer core HR processes such as performance reviews, salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and other employee lifecycle events - Partner with leaders on workforce planning and succession planning activities - Analyze employee feedback, exit interviews, and turnover data to identify trends and improve engagement and retention - Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and HR best practices - Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, processes, and tools Talent Acquisition - Support full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding - Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements and prepare job descriptions - Post opportunities to appropriate job boards, networks, and sourcing platforms - Conduct interviews and participate in candidate assessments - Support the offer process, including offer documentation and approvals - Coordinate onboarding activities, orientations, and first-week schedules - Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process - Maintain accurate recruitment records and provide basic reporting on recruitment metrics Skills and Experience - Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field - 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with hands-on exposure across core HR functions - Experience supporting recruitment as part of a broader HR role - Exposure to construction, development, or related industries is considered a strong asset - Solid knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices - Strong judgment and experience managing employee relations matters - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS platforms (experience with Lever and/or UKG is an asset) - Comfortable learning and navigating new technologies and digital tools - CPHR designation is an asset Compensation & Additional Information Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience.
