Overview: Part of the LGM Group, LGM North America aims to provide its client specialized engineering services in the following fields: Technical Publication, RAMS, Maintenance engineering & Logistic Support, and Industrial Performance. We are involved on many major public transportation projects that will have great impacts on Canadian mobility. From railway to aerospace, naval, or energy, we always provide expertise to our clients with the same passion and high-quality standards. Context In order to strengthen the rapid development of LGM both in Toronto and Montreal we are looking for a Senior Technical Writer. Your responsibilities: Under the supervision of the TECHPUB/ILS Group Manager, your mission will be to produce different types of manuals (maintenance, operation, installation) and be the resource person for the Techpub team in Thunderbay. You will be based in our client facility in Thunderbay. Your main tasks include: - Producing various types of technical publication (Maintenance manual, Operation Manuals,) - Participate in the validation process of technical writings content; - Be responsible of the information exchange between the teams, maintaining a common look and feel to all documentation produced; - Coordination - Participate in technical meetings with the members of the project; - Mentoring junior technical writers; - Building a relationship of trust and partnership with the client while promoting LGM's expertise; - Contributing to the improvement of practices and tools. Your profile: - Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronic or mechatronic, industrial engineering); - Minimum 10 years experience in Technical Publication - Knowledge of S1000D - Frame Maker, Arbortext - Experience in Aerospace sector of railway - Previous experience in project management. - Personal qualities: active listening, communication, leadership, dynamism, organization, efficiency. - Customer orientation: listening, understanding, clarifying, prescribing appropriate solutions and expertise.
