Junior Industrial Gear Service Technician, Bramalea, ON Full-Time | Permanent If you are looking to build a career in industrial service and enjoy hands-on mechanical work, we would like to hear from you. We are currently seeking a Junior Industrial Gear Service Technician to join an established company supporting the repair, maintenance, and installation of industrial gearboxes and gear motors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical aptitude who is looking to build a long-term career in industrial service and repair. Qualifications - Mechanical aptitude (industrial, electrical, or trades exposure preferred) - Ability to read or willingness to learn blueprints and assembly drawings - Strong time management and organizational skills - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Comfortable using computers for reporting and inventory systems - Valid drivers license with a clean driving record - Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities, willingness to learn and follow direction - Excellent attitude as well as reliable, responsible and responsive Key Responsibilities - Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble industrial gearboxes and gear motors - Complete service documentation including inspection and test reports - Perform gearbox assembly, modifications, and test runs - Set bearing clearance, backlash, and tooth contact patterns - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment - Support field service work including installation, alignment, and troubleshooting at customer sites across Canada - Provide on-site reporting, diagnostics, and recommendations to customers Additional Requirements - Ability to safely operate shop equipment (hoists, presses, forklifts, etc.) - Willingness to complete safety and technical training (WHMIS, lockout, first aid, etc.) - Physically capable of handling demanding mechanical work (strength, endurance, coordination required) This is your opportunity to build a career as an Industrial Technician with: - Hands-on technical training and career development - Opportunity to work on complex industrial equipment - Exposure to both shop and field service environments - Long-term growth within a stable industry We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all individuals, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
