BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE SALES Based in York Region, telMAX is a private equity-backed all fibre digital infrastructure platform that provides a 21 st century alternative to traditional telecom networks. Recognized for four consecutive years as Canadas Fastest ISP with an industryleading net promoter score of over fifty, telMAX is continuing its rapid growth plan to bring its allfibre network to residential and business customers across Southern Ontario. Your Position & How You Will Contribute Reporting to the GM, Business & Wholesale Services, the Business Development Executive will lead telMAXs entry into the commercial market. You will generate and qualify customer leads, communicate with businesses, property management and building owners within our footprint, qualify their telecom needs and goals, and create a solution using our stateoftheart fibre optic services. A knowledge of network systems, fibrebased services and past telecom experience is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a drive to grow and foster relationships with clients, and the ability to educate businesses on the benefits of fibre optic solutions. Responsibilities & Key Duties Sales and Lead Generation Sell telMAX communication services (Internet, VOIP, etc.) to businesses, property managers, and building owners. Generate, qualify, and manage a strong pipeline of warm and cold leads to meet sales quotas and targets. Conduct outreach via cold calling, emails, and networking to identify potential customers within your territory. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. Customer Relations Build and foster strong, longterm relationships with clients, ensuring telMAX is positioned as a trusted partner for their telecom needs. Educate customers about telMAXs products, services, bundles, and promotions to meet their unique business requirements. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and postsale to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Sales Strategy & Management Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that align with client needs. Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring deals are mutually beneficial for telMAX and the customer. Continuously update and maintain accurate sales records, data, and activities in the CRM system. Market Intelligence & Feedback Track and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitive landscape to contribute to product development and pricing strategies. Provide insights and recommendations to management on customer needs and ways to enhance service offerings. Represent telMAX professionally and ethically at all times, adhering to company policies, procedures, and guidelines. What You Bring Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent ability to build rapport with clients and maintain lasting business relationships. Knowledge of businessgrade internet and telecommunications solutions. Familiarity with VoIP systems and communications technologies. Past telecom sales experience or relevant B2B sales experience. Proficiency in CRM systems and managing a contact funnel. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to crosssell multiple telecom products and services. Proven ability to meet and exceed monthly sales quotas. High level of selfmotivation and drive to succeed in a fastpaced, competitive environment. Willingness to support clients postsale to ensure ongoing satisfaction and resolve any issues. Experience Minimum of 23 years of B2B outside sales experience, preferably within the telecommunications or related industries. Demonstrated experience working with and achieving sales targets/quotas. Proven experience managing and nurturing a client list, maintaining regular contact to drive repeat business. Experience cultivating, maintaining, and using a CRM system to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions. Basic knowledge of network design and telecommunications infrastructure is highly beneficial. Education Bachelors degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or training in telecommunications, sales, or customer relationship management are a plus. Benefits Competitive variable compensation package. Hybrid positions.
