Position Overview The Department of Geography, Environment & Geomatics at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenured position in Environmental Geomatics at the Associate or Full Professor level. The anticipated start date for this appointment is July 1, 2026. Responsibilities - Teach existing undergraduate and graduate courses and play an active role in developing an expanded curriculum. - Lead independent research programs in Environmental Geomatics. - Secure research funding and demonstrate a proven record of success in funding acquisition. - Innovate experiential education, communityengaged learning, and inclusive pedagogy. - Mentor students at various levels and maintain a strong service record. Qualifications We seek an innovative scholar with teaching and research interests in Environmental Geomatics, enhancing our strengths in problemfocused, policyrelevant, and solutionsoriented teaching and learning. - Hold a Ph.D. in Geography or a closely related discipline. - Have a proven track record of scholarly contributions commensurate with an Associate or Full Professor rank. - Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching, including experience with course leadership and delivery. - Show expertise in environmental geomatics, applied GIS and/or remote sensing, providing a research portfolio that complements or diversifies existing departmental strengths. - Research areas may include geomorphology, water resources, natural hazards, agriculture, sustainability, food systems, environmental conservation, environmental justice, climate risk, or ecosystem restoration. - Possess research and/or teaching experience including innovative applications of UAVs. - Have a demonstrated ability to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and disseminate knowledge to multiple audiences. #J-18808-Ljbffr
