Position Overview The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a fulltime teaching stream position in Foundations of Psychology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026. Responsibilities - Undertake undergraduate teaching responsibilities at the U of T STG campus (downtown Toronto). - Prepare and deliver lecture material, develop curriculum, and create online instructional resources. - Engage in pedagogical inquiry and support teachingrelated scholarly activities. Qualifications - Earned a PhD degree in Psychology or a related discipline by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter. - Demonstrated excellence in teaching, with experience in a degreegranting program including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and online material design. - Expertise in introductorylevel and foundational psychology, or in methods/statistics, within undergraduate curricula. - Clear commitment to equitable, inclusive teaching practices and a demonstrated record of teachingrelated scholarly work. - Strong references, with at least one letter primarily addressing teaching excellence. Salary and Location Salary range: $110,000 $160,000CAD per annum, depending on experience. Negotiations beyond this range may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates. Location: St.George campus (downtown Toronto).
