The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, starting January 1, 2027. Primary Responsibilities - Lead an original, innovative research program in quantum technologies with worldclass quality. - Develop and maintain a diverse and inclusive research team and training environment. - Conduct and publish highimpact research, fulfilling the CRC mandate and attracting external funding. - Maintain a reduced teaching load during the CRC period, while mentoring students, trainees and research personnel. Qualifications - PhD in Physics or a related area. - Outstanding record of research creativity and achievement, with potential to achieve international recognition within the next five to ten years. - Strong record of service to the research community (peer review, advisory committees) and experience mentoring students, trainees, and research staff. - Demonstrated excellence in teaching, supported by a teaching dossier and reference letters. - Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of partners (academic, public, private, nonprofit, philanthropic). - Eligibility for a Tier 2 CRC: no more than ten years from the first independent academic appointment, or more if a valid career interruption is documented.
