DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta, Canada SUMMARY AircraftWorks Ltd is an AMO primarily supporting the maintenance needs of Air Partners Corp. with bases in Calgary and Edmonton. Reporting to the VP of Maintenance, the ideal candidate will bring proven senior maintenance leadership experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the technical credibility required to lead a multiaircraft Approved Maintenance Organization. DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS - Act as the Companys primary Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) liaison for all AMOrelated correspondence, approvals, audits, and findings. - Ensure the AMO operates in full compliance with CARs, approved manuals, existing and emerging regulatory requirements, and company policies. - Provide ad hoc administration support. This may be conducting research of past defects, research of OEM documentation, and/or working with the OEM to provide troubleshooting solutions or engineering support. - Monitor the quality of the aircraft maintenance workmanship and compliance with the manufacturers' recommendations and/or industry standards; raise concerns to the DOM/PRM and make corrective actions as required. - Track and approve the corrective actions for recurring defects to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. - Ensure that the current technical publications are available to and used by the maintenance personnel performing work on aircraft and components. - Conduct the performance reviews of Technical (hangar) staff - Review AME revenue onrevenue billing rates, provide required support and coaching to maintain >80% ratio. - Ensure Occupational Health & Safety requirements are met for AMO employees (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid, MSDS). - Ensure that there are sufficient experienced and qualified staff to maintain the aircraft operated. - Ensure the Company aircraft conform to all regulatory requirements (existing and emerging regulations). - Establish and action a maintenance personnel training program. - Maintain the personal qualifications required to maintain and certify the maintenance completed on Company aircraft (AME licence M1/M2, Aircraft Type courses, initial and recurrent training). - Manage production levels to ensure AWL positively contributes to the Take Flight Group. - Manage the aircraft on/off boarding process. - Negotiate all maintenance agreements between the Air Operator and the service providers prior to the work starting. - On call manager duties for crew at night/weekend as scheduled. - Recruit new technical staff. - Manage work packages completed by 3rd Party AMOs per CPM process. IE, Act as APC point of contact, approve/deny each finding, monitor labour and parts costs and communicate them to the A/C owner, ensure all details for release of the A/C IAW the MCM are completed. - Review all unserviceable parts (not repairable) for disposition. - Review and correct the AMO's invoicing. - Coordinate and deploy staff to support IROP and off base departures for Hypercare aircraft. - Act as the Companys primary Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) liaison for all AMOrelated correspondence, approvals, audits, and findings. OUR MUST HAVES - Valid TCCA M2 licence with minimum of 10 years aviation maintenance experience. - 5+ years in a supervisory role, - Excellent troubleshooting skills, - Valid drivers licence, - Ability to hold a restricted area pass (RAIC), - Valid passport, ability to travel worldwide, - Right to work in Canada, - Type endorsement on one or more of the aircraft listed on our AMO would be an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
