Job Description

PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canadas largest airport for the future of air travelincluding critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience. Responsibility - Act as the primary HR contact for assigned sub-program(s), supporting workforce planning, capacity needs, and succession planning. - Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, and conflict resolution. - Support leaders in building high-performing teams through consistent application of HR policies and best practices. - Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, team management, and employee development. - Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring, onboarding, and workforce ramp-up, including drafting offers, coordinating/delivering onboarding, and maintaining employee data in BambooHR. - Support change management initiatives. - Contribute to employee engagement, retention strategies, and culture initiatives, including internal/external events, DEI efforts, and community engagement. - Participate in governance forums (Management Team, Working Groups) to provide HR insights and support decision-making. - Ensure alignment with PACT governance, program requirements, PACT Charter, and applicable legislation (Ontario Human Rights Code, ESA). - Maintain compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and project requirements (e.g., security clearances). - Support end-to-end HR processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. - Contribute to HR systems, reporting, and process improvements to support program scalability. - Provide workforce data, reporting, and insights to support leadership decisions. Desired Skills, Knowledge, Competencies and Qualifications - Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - CHRP, CHRL, or working towards designation is an asset. - 510+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or project-based environments. - Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder or joint venture environments is strongly preferred. - Strong knowledge of workforce planning, and project-based resourcing. - Solid understanding of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices. - Proven experience managing employee relations matters, including full-cycle investigations. - Experience supporting large-scale mobilization or infrastructure projects is highly valued. - Proficiency in HRIS systems (BambooHR is an asset), Microsoft Office (advanced Excel), and Smartsheet is considered a strong advantage. - Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. - Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
